About Us

Our mission is to match the right cat with the right home. We take in surrenders, found strays and trapped friendlies.

We vet them, feed them, shelter them in foster homes until they are ready to adopt. Our adoption fees cover most of our medical expenses and we ask for donations from others to cover food and litter.

Get to know the Founders

Alana

Vice President / Long Time Foster

Alana does much of our intake and is our primary foster coordinator. You will see her at many of our adoption events.

Her dedication is admirable, as she also works full time.

Nicole

Treasurer and premier bottle feeder.

Nikki also works full time and takes care of most of our challenging medical cases.

She coordinates with fosters to be sure everything is on track.

Faith

President

After Faith moved to Wilmington, she started fostering for a local rescue group. She ended up fostering, volunteering at adoption events and fundraising with them for 2 years.

In January 2020, Faith wanted to start her own group, as she felt a gap in the rescue community for owner surrenders. She got on the 501(c)3 paperwork trail (which took a while to complete with the Pandemic at hand) and started taking in and adopting out kittens and cats in February 2020.

Feline Matchmakers is registered on Facebook as a charitable organization, along with an Amazon Wishlist, Petfinder, Adopt A Pet and Petsmart Charities. She specializes in social rehab, kittens and hard to place adults.

Faith now lives in Colorado and runs the administration part of the rescue.
